The Peace-Café in Ulm is a meeting place for people in different life situations and offers space for conversations and community. The offer takes place regularly on Mondays from 9-11 am in the café „Die Apotheke" in Ulm.
In order to develop the potential of immigrant women, the Beurer Foundation supports the educational project "Low-threshold German language support for immigrant women with accompanying childcare" of GoldenHearts in Pforzheim.
The Beurer-Foundation helps immigrant women and their families by granting German language courses in order to easily integrate and develop their full potential. Being able to speak the German language has proven to be a key success factor for both integration and professional career.
For more than ten years, Beurer has been using the proceeds from its Christmas sale to support local charitable institutions helping disadvantaged children and young people. The Ulm-based company has a tradition of organising a Christmas sale for its employees.
In order to support young people in their apprenticeship, the Beurer Foundation supports the project "Lern-Café" in Ulm by Menschlichkeit-ulm e.V..
The Ulm child welfare agency Kinderschutzbund Ulm/Neu-Ulm e.V. has been supporting children in need for 40 years.
Approximately 4 to 8% of all children and young people are affected by a learning disability. Despite being of average intelligence, they have little or no knowledge of reading, writing or arithmetic. Although these academic developmental disorders meet the criteria for an ICD-10 diagnosis (classification and diagnostic system for all disorders), health insurance companies do not cover the costs of treatment.
The Beurer-Foundation supports the educational therapy centre “Lerntherapie Alb” in Bad Urach through sponsorships.
The Beurer-Foundation is working with IN VIA to provide educational support for students joining the German education system.
Together with the Malteser Neu-Ulm, the Beurer-Foundation supports the project “FaF - Fremde als Freunde".
The Café Canape in Ulm is a place of inclusion, rehabilitation and integration.
At the end of 2015, the state of Baden-Württemberg built a shelter for the initial reception of migrants in the Hindenburg barracks in Ulm. The shelter can accommodate up to 500 refugees. The Beurer-Foundation is campaigning for the provision of childcare and medical first-aid support. The Refugee Council in Ulm is providing assistance in this area.
Together with Malteser in Neu-Ulm, the Beurer-Foundation is supporting various training courses.
As part of a certified training course, four people completed 160 hours of training at Malteser in Neu-Ulm (split across 45-minute sessions) to become auxiliary nurses or nursing assistants.
The Beurer-Foundation supports Förderverein FortSchritt Ulm/Neu-Ulm e.V., an association for cerebral disabled children in the region.
Together with Malteser in Neu-Ulm, the Beurer-Foundation is supporting various training courses.
The Beurer-Foundation sponsors 40 hours of therapy for each of the three primary schools in Wiblingen — Grundschule am Tannenplatz, Regenbogen-GS and Sägefeld-GS — to provide support to children affected by dyslexia.
