Protecting Syrian refugees in Jordan

Jordanien | May 2016 - December 2017 | terre des hommes
The Beurer-Foundation works with terre des hommes to support a project to protect young Syrian refugees in Jordan. The project ensures that children have access to the child protection facilities in the Irbid, Jerash and Mafraq governorates.

Since 2012, terre des hommes in Germany has supported the work of its Swiss sister organisation in Lausanne with a programme to provide care to Syrian refugees in Irbid, Mafraq, Ramtha, Ajloun and Jerash and to integrate these refugees into society. There is a particularly large number of refugees living in these areas in the north of Jordan. The projects are run in conjunction with local community organisations. These organisations understand the needs of the local population and are in a stronger position thanks to the support of terre des hommes.
